Ibrahimovic describes Chelsea players as babies

Paris Saint Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has described Chelsea’s players as babies for surrounding the referee and asking for his dismissal in their latest Champions League meeting,¬†The Guardian¬†reports. The Swedish striker claimed he did not known whether to laugh or cry when the referee produced a straight red card after only 31 minutes for his challenge on Brazilian Oscar. Ibrahimovic also stated he did not know whether Oscar feigned injury after the challenge, which the striker claimed he tried to pull out of.

Despite being down to ten men for the majority of the game PSG managed to equalize twice to claim a 3-3 aggregate draw over two games and pass into the next round on away goals. The sending off was also seen as wrong by Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho, who stated on iReport that it is his hope that UEFA would rescind the sending off to allow Ibrahimovic to appear in the next round of the tournament. UEFA have already responded by stating the red card cannot be changed as only cases of mistaken identity can see suspensions changed under Champions League rules.
