Ronaldo considers MLS move in 2018

Perhaps the most famous soccer player in the World is planning a move to North America’s Major League Soccer various reports are stating, MLS soccer is reporting. Christiano Ronaldo is reported by his agent and various sources close to the star forward to be considering a move to MLS when his contract with Real Madrid runs out in 20185. The move would echo that of former LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham, who also moved from Real Madrid to become the face and major star of MLS in its early days.

Ray Lane pointed out though, that Ronaldo would be 33 at the time his contract runs out and will have to weigh up at what level he feels he could play before making any move. Real Madrid officials have recently been stating their belief the Portuguese striker would happily see out his playing days in the Spanish capital. However, the former Manchester United player’s agent has recently made comments indicating a move to North America may be on the cards in the near future. Franchises in Los Angeles, Miami and New York are thought to interest Ronaldo, with the soon to start operations LA FC and New York City FC both thought to be the main targets for Ronaldo.

  1. I think if this move were to happen, you can expect more people watching the MLS than it currently have because of fans. Maybe there is an over estimation of the value but it is meaningful to the advertisers.
